How to Instantly Get Better Mechanics in Fortnite

In this post i'm going to walk you through 'speed freebuilding'. Which is by far the best way to get faster and more consistent mechanics. But... you have to do it properly, so let me tell you exactly how 👇
Step 1
Step 1 is to freebuild on a slower speed (something like 0.8x speed/ 80% speed). You can use whichever map you want as long as it his speed options and a freebuild area. This is the map we recommend: 7012-3243-6690. But when you're on this speed you need to do two main things. The first is making sure you have good crosshair placement: where you move your crosshair as little as possible when making an edit. Still confused, watch the very short video below which shows you the difference between good and bad crosshair placement:
But you also want to practice the moves you struggle with or just learning a new move. And because you're on a slow speed here, you'll actually be able to learn the moves properly, so you can eventually do them infinitely on normal speed. But another thing you should work into freebuilding (on every speed) is practicing awkward edits where you're at a awkward angle. What i do is use my movement to go far against walls in my freebuilds: as this is the awkward edit most people struggle with (where you're pinched up against a wall).
Step 2
Step 2 is to switch to a faster speed (like 1.2x or 120%). But first let me let you in the truth. On this speed, especially if you've never done it before, you will mess up a lot at first. But TRUST ME, over time, you will mess up less and less and with a few weeks or months of doing this everyday (depending on your mechanics level right now) you'll barely ever mess up, even on this fast speed. But whilst on this fast speed you just want to try and do as many edits and moves as possible without messing up. This step just requires a lot of consistency overtime but i promise you, in the long run it is so worth it!
Step 3
Step 3 is to go back to normal speed, to get used to normal speed again. Here you can just freebuild how you normally do: practicing different edit combinations, practicing piece control moves, edit coursing or whatever. But you're probably wondering how long you should play on each speed. And it's pretty simple. However long you have, divide it by 3, so you play each speed for an equal amount of time. So if you have 10 minutes to freebuild, just do 3 minutes on each speed (an extra one on the fast speed if you're feeling fast)! Or if you have 15 minutes, then do 5 minutes on each speed.
